Winter's Grace Guidance Center is dedicated to offering opportunities to individuals and families in a compassionate and helpful manner to assist each person in sharing feelings, navigating challenges and discovering their potential. The practice intention for individuals invested in their own well-being is they will be heard, supported and encouraged.
The environment of Winter's Grace Guidance Center's mini farm provides opportunities to share with individuals seeking self development the joys of animal assisted activities/therapies (AAA/T) with equines (Equine Facilitated Wellness, EFW), canines, felines, waterfowl such as seasonal cranes and ducks and frequent mammal observations of moose and caribou - and the occasional bear. In addition to the animal assisted activities/therapies programs, a visit to our place could include the healing modalities of therapeutic gardening, nature walks, fireside chats, creative games, fun with puppets, and movement with music and yoga.
Therapeutic interventions are always customized to the individula's needs. Traditional interventions such as talking through a concern, learning to modify behaviors and gaining insight into challenges and dreams can all be enhanced with the addition of journaling, sand tray work, aspects of play therapy, photo collage work and a mindfulness program.
Winter's Grace Guidance Center's programs might be of benefit to an individual or family experiencing grief and loss, exploring their roles and place in life, struggling with child and family developmental stages or living with chronic illness. Counseling and education services are delivered with compassion, helpfulness and belief in one's ability to know themselves best.
Individuals and families will be uplifted by their time invested with Winter's Grace Gudiance Center, where facilitating therapeutic relationships with presence, validation and acceptance is what we value.
